Communications with Brock University

As a SAFS chapter, we wish we didn’t have to post this page, because in simplest terms it represents failure. In an ideal world, members of the Brock community and Niagara residents should be able to assume that Brock University administration publicly and privately supports the principles of academic freedom and hiring according to the principle of merit. Unfortunately, recently and frequently, the university’s administration has shown a penchant for doing the exact opposite, to the point that the Society for Academic Freedom and Scholarship and SAFS Brock have felt compelled to protest Brock’s actions. Here are the letters documenting recent actions by Brock administration that have concerned us.
